My Autumn To Do List

13/09/2021

I bloody love autumn. I’ll spare you the details and won’t waffle on for too long but everything about it makes me so happy and after another difficult year, the thought of dog walks in the fallen leaves and roast dinners at our local pub is enough to make me want to scream ‘Hocus Pocus’ at the top of my lungs from my local pumpkin patch. So with this seasonal obsession in mind, here’s my autumn to do list I’m going to tick off throughout the next few months.

pumpkins and autumn flowers

1. Enjoy a Harry Potter marathon.

2. Pick pumpkins and go all out carving them this year (no cop outs).

3. Reserve all my Saturday evenings for Strictly Come Dancing (especially the Halloween special).

4. Treat myself to a few more autumnal candles from Homesense.

5. Attend my local ploughing match and pumpkin festival.

6. Try a chai latte (yes, that is coming from someone who doesn’t drink hot drinks).

7. Go charity shopping in my local town.

8. Make sure the majority of my diet involves stodgy, hearty, autumnal food – yuuuuuum!

9. Sing myself silly at Mamma Mia The Party at the O2.

10. Clear out all my summer clothes and finally chuck anything away that doesn’t fit.

11. Catch up on birthdays, weddings and other celebrations that we’ve missed over the last year.

12. Head up to Twickenham for the Barbarians vs Samoa game.

13. Get crafty and create an autumnal wreath for the front door.

14. Have a Halloween film night with my pals.

15. Start getting organised for Christmas (whoops did I just said the C word in August).

If you need any more ideas for your autumn to do list, you can head over to a post I wrote a couple of years ago on what you can get up to at autumn.

What’s on your autumn to do list? I’d love to know!

Yes! I love Fall/Autumn too and I am so looking forward to it finally arriving — I am tired of 90+ degree weather (got that today and it’s oppressive) so I want to see the leaves change colour soon! I recently had a pumpkin spice latte for the first time in about 8 years so I’m in the mood for this season! I think watching Harry Potter movies is a must too and I have them ready to goooo!

Haha yes I’m so with you!

You have great things to do this month! I never really thought of October as something special apart from the fact that here in Greece is the major season change from summer to automn. I love it that the weather finally gets a bit colder!

That’s so interesting! Autumn/Halloween is getting bigger and bigger in the UK!

Good ideas for Autumn as Halloween creeps closer.

Thanks Jamie ๐Ÿ™‚

Haha Harry Potter is the best thing to watch in the colder months I swear!

I love autumn too, there’s just something about the long and dark nights that makes it the best season for me! I really wan to do a Harry Potter marathon this month, as well as starting my preparation for Christmas, haha. Thanks for sharing x
