I’ll hold my hands up and say that I haven’t always wanted to go to the gym. I’m lucky enough to have a high metabolism so I just didn’t see any need in working out. But things change and as of April I started going to the gym four or five times a week. It was hard work at the beginning and I’ll admit it took a lot to motivate me so to help anyone I can, I’ve listed a few reasons why you need to go to the gym. Hopefully it will help some of you who need a kick up the bum to go and register!
Feel better in yourself
This can take time but going to gym makes your self-confidence boost without even knowing it. You’ll feel less stressed, better about your body and generally a lot more positive.
Motivation to do something with your day
It’s so easy sometimes to just wake up and mooch around all day without really doing anything. By going to the gym, it gives me the motivation to actually do something and not just lounge around. You’ll find if you put your gym clothes on first thing in the morning, you’ll be so much more productive.
It will help you sleep
If you’re anything like me and struggle to sleep sometimes, then a good workout will be your cure. You’ll be so knackered after going to the gym, you’ll be out like a light!
Your body will thank you
It’s inevitable (if you’ve done a good workout) that you’ll be feeling sore and probably struggle to stand up, if you’re anything like me, but your body will really benefit in the long run.
You get to buy gym stuff
Okay so maybe not one of the most important reasons to go to the gym but I bloody love buying new gym clothes.
